TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The mainstream TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Started in 2017, TEDx UTM is a passionate community that host a series of talks that strive to bring people from every discipline and culture to share their ideas under the same roof. People may acquire the skills and knowledge that others may have taken years to obtain in a few hours. TEDx UTM aims to bring a change to people by providing this platform alongside the opportunity to share ideas. Each and every year the event is conducted with its very own unique theme.
